how long does it take to train them?

    @krishkid
It’s totelly normal that they shake when they are that small, usually its because they are used to really hot tempratures when they would snuggle with their mom and siblings. My dogs used to shake alot when they where small, and when they where sleeping the first months. About the walking, he’s probably abit scared still so let him explore abit on his own, bring some food for encouragement! He should not go for very long walks untill he’s about 7-9months old due to the HD risks

They do not shed alot, but if you are scared you’ll be fearfull of one, do not get one. They need a strong expecrienced handler and somone they can’t just run over. Because trust me, if he/she sences that you are fearing him/her, that dog will most likely take over your home

is it possible to socialize a dobie thats 2 years old. A lot of websites say its only puppies that are socialized easiest. but its possible right”?

  5. arenaskies says:

Do Doberman’s shed a lot? I’m trying to find a protective dog that doesn’t shed much. And if I train one with food in my hand, I’m afraid it would bite it from me. Probably not true right?

Darn good advice. :) His description fits my Dobie perfectly. I trained him using positive techniques and it worked, FAST. Dobies are quick learners and really fun to work with. There are some vids of my big boy on my channel if anyone is interested. We are starting agility in a couple weeks and will be posting vids of our progress there as well. Please research this breed before you get one… and any breed for that matter!

cheers for the advice and i’ll certainly keep you in mind should she needs to go, alot of things are common sense are’nt they? dobes are great they’re little comedians, mine has me in stitches!

  14. aiva56 says:

Thanks, but Im gonna wait before I buy a dobermann, to buy a dobermann I need a big house and some space I can have it on, otherwise its too much job,

there’s great videos out there on training dogs, also there’s that show on animal planet, “its me or the dog” which sometimes show many things that we never realized would make a difference in the dogs life… plus if you have a dobie, than you probably have the easiest dog to train you could get… and if you dont like her, i’ll take her, i love dobies hehehe

  16. draper46 says:

ive only had her nearly a year and shes 3, shes too pampered, so i know its my fault, but her previous owners were quite bad to her, but im trying!!

  17. VituMV says:

if you can read english, then there’s a good chance you will find online books…

  18. VituMV says:

dobie’s are the best dogs for training, they pick things up easily and fast, but they’re always going to be dogs; just be patient and love your dog, he will be trained in no time

  19. VituMV says:

a dog’s behavior is reaction to the owner’s treatment… im sure you treat your dog the best way possible, but we are never too good to get an outsider’s perspective… i strongly believe that no matter what breed, each dog has it’s own characteristics, and it’s never too late to fix something… forgive me if I’m wrong

  20. draper46 says:

well, good luck with all your doberman training, i have THEE most stubborn girl i have ever met on four legs

  21. alwaysthesame111 says:

@jleebesaw did u train the dog like the second day, and like everyday? i gonna buy a dobermann in like a month when i move to thailand(phuket). how long does it take to learn the dog? like an hour for a commando ?

  22. jleebesaw says:

to the person with concerns about training a dobe. make sure yo get lots of stuff for him to chew on. mine chews like crazy but so far hasnt chewed up anything that hes not supposed to.

  23. jleebesaw says:

i have a great little doberman pup that i just got about three weeks ago. he is red colored. he is so smart, its hard to believe how quickly he learns things. 13 weeks old now and pretty much mastered his basic commands already. he is house trained but not completly reliable yet. amazing dog!!!

  24. CardiffCasual101 says:

  25. erick9182 says:
